What matters

What this sector needs from a supplier.

01

A file that is complete on day one

Under 21 CFR Part 111 you must establish specifications for each component and verify them. We send the specification, certificate of analysis, methods and supplier statements with your quotation.

02

Buy from the manufacturer

You qualify one company: the one that made the product. Batch numbers on every drum trace straight back to our production records.

03

Lots that pass your identity testing

You will run identity tests on every incoming lot and full verification on the first several. We share the test methods behind our certificates so your lab can reproduce the results.

Questions

Common questions.

What does 21 CFR 111 require of a supplement manufacturer when buying ingredients?

The manufacturer must set specifications for each component, confirm the identity of every dietary ingredient lot with at least one appropriate test, and either test for the other specifications or rely on a supplier certificate of analysis after qualifying that supplier and periodically re-confirming its results.

Can I buy from a trading company rather than the manufacturer?

You can, but you still have to qualify the site that made the ingredient. Buying direct from the manufacturer, as you do with Whiteriver Bio, keeps that simple: one company makes the product, issues the certificate of analysis and answers your questions.
