Functional Beverages
Ingredients that dissolve clear and document cleanly.
Beverage formulators need actives that dissolve clear, taste clean and arrive on schedule. We manufacture L-theanine, water-soluble vitamin B2 and citicoline for exactly that.

What matters
What this sector needs from a supplier.
Solubility that holds in the can
L-Theanine dissolves freely and adds little taste. For vitamin B2, riboflavin 5′-phosphate sodium dissolves where riboflavin will not.
Food-use status in writing
Beverages are conventional food, so every ingredient needs a food-use basis. We supply the regulatory documentation for each product with your quotation.
Technical support
Solubility, pH and light-stability data for each ingredient, from the people who make it, so your bench work starts from facts.

Questions
Common questions.
Which form of vitamin B2 should I use in a clear beverage?
Riboflavin 5′-phosphate sodium. Riboflavin is only very slightly soluble in water, while the phosphate sodium salt dissolves readily. Both colour the drink yellow, and both degrade in light, so opaque or UV-blocking packaging is usual.
Can L-theanine be used in beverages in the United States?
L-Theanine is used in many U.S. beverages on the basis of GRAS notices to which FDA had no questions. Those notices set intended uses and use levels, and each applies to a particular producer's process. Confirm that the material you buy is covered for your application.
