What matters

What this sector needs from a supplier.

01

Supply you can plan around

We run our own riboflavin production, so you get capacity commitments and lead times straight from the plant, on annual contract or by the pallet.

02

Paperwork that survives a customer audit

Certificates of analysis that cite the current monograph and method, plus the standard statements on allergens, GMO status and residual solvents.

03

Specifications that match the standard of identity

Enriched flour, cornmeal, rice and pasta have federal standards that fix riboflavin levels. Material tested to USP and FCC gives your formulators a known assay to dose against.

Questions

Common questions.

How much riboflavin does enriched flour require?

Under the U.S. standard of identity for enriched flour (21 CFR 137.165), each pound must contain 1.8 mg of riboflavin, alongside set levels of thiamin, niacin, folic acid and iron.

Which grade of riboflavin is used in food premixes?

Food premixes use high-assay riboflavin that meets Food Chemicals Codex specifications, which is the condition of its GRAS affirmation under 21 CFR 184.1695. Most suppliers test the same material to the USP monograph as well.
